Een handrem die je bijna helemaal moet aantrekken voordat hij grijpt, duidt klassiek op speling in de kabel of naloop in de afstelling – en op de 960 met multi-link achteras zitten de remschoenen in de naaftrommels van de achterwielen, zodat de nastelling via de stel-Schroef gebeurt en niet bij de schoenen. Deze categorie verzamelt onderdelen voor juist die multi-link achteras met veerpoot en houdt ze gescheiden van de oudere uitvoering met starre as.

In de groep zitten de stel-Schroef en remafstelling om de speling op te nemen, de borgmoer en zeskantschroef die de instelling vergrendelen, plus de as, houder en hefboom van de hendel zelf. Het deurcontact en de gaskets (Differential) horen hier ook bij. Bij revisie is een terugkerend controlepunt het nakijken van de beweeglijkheid van de kabel en de schroefdraad van de stel-Schroef voordat je aandraait – een klemmende Schroef geeft een net zo ongelijkmatige parkeerrem als een versleten kabel.
