Vermoeide retourveren, lekkende wielcilinders of een motor die onregelmatig stationair loopt - de Amazon werd gebouwd van 1956-1970 en welke delen passen, hangt vaak af van het modeljaar. Vroege auto's hebben de B16 en een 6-voltsysteem, terwijl de B18 en 12 volt samen kwamen in augustus 1961. Schijfremmen voor verschenen datzelfde jaar op de 122S, maar achter zaten trommelremmen gedurende de hele serie.
