Volvo 1800 Brandstof-/uitlaatsysteem
Een onregelmatig stationair toerental, een zware koude start of een benzinegeur onder de wagen voert meestal terug naar de brandstof- en uitlaatzijde. Op de 1800 zaten dubbele SU-carburateurs op de B18, terwijl de ingespoten B20E met Bosch D-Jetronic reed – twee compleet verschillende systemen die bepalen welke onderdelen passen. Stromberg-carburateurs, HS6-revisieset, brandstoftank met ontluchtingsslangen, luchtfilter en spruitstuk zijn typische controlepunten wanneer de motor weer schoon moet ademen.
